Chinese Standard of 3D TV is on the way

From China

Subin Zhang from China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) told the media that CESI is working on the standards of 3D TV. The Chinese standard “3D TV terms” and “3D TV image quality measurements” has been discussed many times. They are now at the stage to test various products.

Sharp, Panasonic and Toshiba have planned to launch their 3D TV in China in August. However, the Chinese TV brands show little interest in 3D TV at this moment.

One of the foci of the standardization is that the negative effects that the 3D TV causes on eyes. However, the standardization does not seem to include that matter.
